RIAA Commends U.S. Justice Department For New Intellectual Property Task Force

[The U.S. Department of Justice today announced the formation of a Task Force on Intellectual Property (http://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/2010/February/10-ag-137.html). The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) applauded the department's new initiative and said that the Administration determined efforts were essential to protecting the works of music labels, artists, songwriters, and countless others in the music community. "This is welcome news. Efforts to strengthen the coordination and deployment of the extensive resources of the federal government to better protect the jobs and creativity of the entertainment community is a very useful step. We're grateful for the ongoing efforts of the Administration."
